Madly in Love with Hats Contest

Image in WhiteKaye Wilson Klem’s Madly in Love with Hats contest runs from Tuesday, January 7, to midnight, Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Enter by writing your own short creative description of or a praise blurb for her historical time-travel romance, IMAGE IN IVORY, offered exclusively on Amazon Kindle. IMAGE IN IVORY will also be free Friday, January 10 and Saturday, January 11, 2014 on Amazon Kindle. The best blurb wins first prize: first selection of a hat. The runner-up wins the other hat.

IMAGE IN IVORY--JEAN'S HATFrom Kaye’s novel, Jean Riddell’s hat was inspired by the phrase “in a nest of midnight‑blue velvet.” This gorgeous hat was loom knitted with a brim of rich blue fun fur and eye-lit yarn woven with a light blue yarn for the rest of the cap. The cameo does indeed rest in a nest of midnight-blue.

Image in Ivory Hat on woodI loom knitted the second cap, with rose lace hanging over the brim, inspired by the summer wrap of “rose point lace” Caroline used to cover herself for the carriage ride that transported her to our time. The cameo, as evidenced by appearing on both caps, is the portal to Carrie’s travel back to the days of the American Revolution.

To enter the contest, write a praise blurb about the book IMAGE IN IVORY. One that could be used in promotions. Be honest. Be specific about what you liked in the book.  Before midnight PST on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, send your praise blurb to KAYE WILSON KLEM at HISTORYFAN5@VERIZON.NET. Due to shipping concerns, contestants must be from the continental United States.
