I’m thankful that my mom introduced me to romance novels and meatloaf at a tender age. Her appetite for both led to my enjoyment of both when I was age appropriate. Being vegan, I thought I’d said good bye to meatloaf in 2004. I do enjoy a good lentil loaf but it seemed too complex for this assembler to make and not something I could share with mom. Then a pandemic inspiration struck. I served this to the family Saturday and they devoured it!
In my Better Late Romance Her Last Mission, they stop at a diner for burgers and fries. If they’d had vegan meatloaf on the menu, Sandy would have ordered it!
Speaking of moms and romances, I’d preordered another BETTER LATE ROMANCE: USA Today best-selling author Jacqueline Diamond’s Really? At Your Age? novel. It has an over-fifty duo considering second chances with old friends and romance AND frozen embryos. Can it get more interesting? Yes! There’s even a murder mystery.
TODAY is its launch day. I finally get to devour this book.
Really? At Your Age? book description
After life kept them apart for decades, can a couple in their fifties find a path to love?
When a quake rattles their small town, Dr. Cody Matchett and hospital attorney Ben Wright are both jolted into rethinking their life choices. That includes their long-simmering attraction, and the fate of half a dozen frozen embryos.
Is Cody ready to become a mom at age 52? Then there’s the matter of choosing a surrogate… who might be Ben’s grown daughter!
The Better Late Romances are family friendly, fast, and fun featuring the over fifty crowd.
